Monica Cain is an insurance
professional with expertise in property and casualty insurance
and is an award-winning instructor. |

Career History |
Monica has extensive
corporate experience as a consultant/product manager in, underwriting,
claims and as a program developer and trainer. She has worked
for leading insurance companies including Aviva, CAA Insurance,
Prudential of America and Royal Insurance. Over the years Monica
has seen how the right products launched with the right programs
empower employees and deliver measurable, sustainable improvements
to the top and bottom lines.
Monica was certified as a CIP, Chartered Insurance Professional,
in 1982.
With over 30 years in the insurance industry combined with a
passion for lifelong learning, Monica has a broad insurance experience
and a deep knowledge base.
Her areas of expertise include personal and commercial lines
underwriting, claims, marketing, product development, customer
care and sales. |

Teaching History |
Monica has over 25 years
hands-on experience as an instructor with the Insurance Institute,
George Brown, Seneca, and Centennial College and as an on location
instructor for numerous insurance companies. Her ability to not
only instruct CIP students but also to inspire them to become
students of the insurance business resulted in her winning the
first ever Instructor of the Year award from the Insurance Institute.
Monica's love of the industry and of teaching spurred her to
take on many volunteer opportunities with the Insurance Institute.
One significant opportunity was to chair a team of underwriting
experts in the creation of three new and progressive text books
now part of the CIP curriculum. For her dedication to teaching
and promoting professionalism through volunteering with the Insurance
Industry Monica was presented with the Insurance Institute Award
of Merit in 2002. |
